out of 5Acid Pro feels so much home to me as I do a lot of video editing with Magix Video Pro X. The UI and layouts similarity works for me.
Every time I use Acid Pro for audio creating and sometimes editing, I get the feeling as if I am using the Magix Video editing softwares such as Video Pro X or Movie Studio only with more audio editing capabilities and functionalities. The UI and the general layout is very similar. For example, the Explorer tab for quickly accessing the media files for the project in the computer has almost similar layout with Video Pro X. The noticeable difference is that for Acid Pro it is located at the bottom left while for the Video Pro X at the top right. This and other similarities such as we have for the timelines have made my workflow easy in terms of navigating around the software. I know where to get what I need at a glance. Additionally, It is a very capable DAW loaded with lots of loops (Acidized loops) for any genre. It is my to go place when I need some background loops for my videos. Perfectly suited for my workflow!
Unfortunately, the stability of this software has been the greatest setback. I started with Acid Pro 10 and now with 11 and still not stable. It does not matter how many times I reinstall and mostly just keep away from some of its features, It still crashes and sometimes to finish a project in Acid Pro is Magic(X).

I have used Acid Pro to create looped audios for my short training videos for many years. It still the easiest DAW to use and affords quality output. The 64 bit version offers more stability to what would be a crash prone software.
The price is quite out of the range of competing DAWs in the market unless you are lucky to get the discount priced offers.

out of 5Acid Pro was great for prototyping tracks and getting quick compositions out. It had a comprehensive set of decent included effects and instruments but was ultimately let down by instability.
Acid Pro has always had a great workflow and reasonable included effects and instruments. It pioneered loop manipulation and coined the term acidisation for including tempo information with loops so that they can be easily manipulated and included in tracks of different tempos.
The constant crashing and program hangs that occur on an all too frequent basis. Even after expecting a hang and constantly saving, the time lost and more importantly losing the flow while trying to be creative were the app killer for me.

The program has some high-quality features such as handling high-res audio at BIT/ KHZ and the ability to copy/paste complex sections of music. The mixer panel looks like a traditional mixer and you can tweak audio modify pitch modulation expression and more. Definitely a tool for a pro!

Acid Pro is very much aimed at experienced audio editors so while it is easy to use you should be comfortable with very detailed audio mixing to get the most out of it. Having said that the free trial is there for you to get acquainted with these tools.

MAGIX released ACID Pro 11, the latest version of its longstanding loop-based creative DAW. Among its new features and additions are more ACID-ized loops, a sample chopper (triggered via MIDI), and a range of new effects. What&#;s already included can be expanded with additional content via in-app purchases.

MAGIX ACID Pro 11
Loop-based production remains at the heart of ACID Pro ACID was my first DAW encounter and I fondly remember the immediacy of stacking a bunch of loops in the same tempo and key together in ACID. I&#;m reminded of it anytime I hear about the Ableton Push, Maschine Jam, and any product designed around triggering sync&#;d up loops. It&#;s a fun and accessible means to conjuring super-hits. The only limit to it is what you don&#;t know yet.
ACID is fondly remembered by many for being among the first DAWs to let you edit audio pitch and tempo. Speaking of which, ACID Pro 11 ships with 9GB of ACID-ized loops and 11 Suite tops out at 15 GB of the stuff. So there&#;s plenty of sample and loop fodder from the get-go at your disposal. Of course, you can also import your own audio to come up with beats and tunes.
ACID is Pro in all major ways, but its interface remains intuitive and accessible. The creative process is quick, especially if you have the right loops. To that, a built-in store lets you buy new sounds and loops on a whim.
New effects and instruments
The aforementioned Chopper, which can be triggered via MIDI, cuts up audio files and ACID loops into individual slices. You can play them from your MIDI controller which is a fast way of beatmaking. MAGIX also teamed up with Brainworx to borrow some new plug-ins for this release. Depending on the software version, the available studio effects include bx_oberhausen, bx_masterdesk, bx_console N, bx_console Focusrite SC, bx_crispy tuner, and bx_refinement. That&#;s a solid all-around package.
The new Morph Pads make for an interesting addition. Not unlike Ableton&#;s simplest sampler, you can assign audio tracks, instruments, or audio buses to a pad. Then you can morph between the sounds via different modulations of FX targets. There&#;s mangling to be made!
The software bundle is complete with Elements and Essential versions of iZotope Ozone 9 and Celemony Melodyne 5, along with various effects such as VariVerb II or the Analogue Modeling Suite Plus. You can find a detailed overview on the developer&#;s website.

Acid Pro (often stylized ACID) is a professional digital audio workstation (DAW) software program currently developed by Magix Software. It was originally called Acid pH1 and published by Sonic Foundry, later by Sony Creative Vso downloader as Acid Pro, and since spring by Magix as both Acid Pro and a simplified version, Acid Music Studio. Acid Pro 8 (the current version as of [update]) supports bit and bit architectures, and has MIDI, ASIO, VST, VST3, DirectX Audio, and surround sound support.
History[edit]
Acid was first launched inas Acid pH1, by Sonic Foundry in Madison, Wisconsin. It was a loop-based music sequencer, in which Acid Loop files could be simply drag-and-dropped then automatically adjust to the tempo and key of a song with virtually no sonic degradation.
A website for budding musicians using Acid technology was set up, named nkc.com.pk The software became very popular in the late s and early s among composers, producers, and DJs interested in quickly creating beats, ACID Pro, music textures, or complete compositions and orchestrations, that would work with virtually any tempo or key signature.
Sonic Foundry sold its Acid, Vegas, Sound Forge, CD Architect, Siren, VideoFactory, ScreenBlast, and Batch Converter product lines to Sony Pictures Digital in July ; the merger resulted in the new Sony Creative Software division.[1] Sony's Acid Pro 6 (released in the third quarter of ) introduced a full-digital audio workstation that also included MIDI ACID Pro multitrack audio recording with full support for ASIO computer-audio and VST synthesizer-plugin standards.
On May 20,German company Magix Software GmbH announced they had acquired the majority of the products in the Sony Creative Software portfolio. Acid Loops[edit]
Acid Loop (trademark), also Acidized or Acidified loop (generic terms), refers to a sound clip which can be repeated and transposed to form a song with minimal manual adjustment. out of 5Acid Pro feels so much home to me as I do a lot of video editing with Magix Video Pro X. The UI and layouts similarity works for me, ACID Pro.
Every time I use Acid Pro for audio creating and sometimes editing, I get the feeling as if I am toolkit driver license key the Magix Video editing softwares such as Video Pro X or Movie Studio only with more audio editing capabilities and functionalities. The UI and the general layout is very similar, ACID Pro. For example, the Explorer tab for quickly accessing the media files for the project in the computer has almost similar layout with Video Pro X. The noticeable difference is that for Acid Pro it is located at the bottom left while for the Video Pro X at the top right. This and other similarities such as we have for the timelines have made my workflow easy in terms of navigating around the software, ACID Pro. I know where to get what I need at a glance. Additionally, It is a very capable DAW loaded with lots of loops (Acidized loops) for any genre. It is my to go place when I need some background loops for my videos. Perfectly suited for my workflow!
Unfortunately, the stability of this software has been the greatest setback. I started with Acid Pro 10 and now with 11 and still not stable. It does not matter how many times I reinstall and mostly just keep away from some of its features, It still crashes and sometimes to finish a project in Acid Pro is Magic(X).

I have used Acid Pro to create looped audios for my short training videos for many years, ACID Pro. It still the easiest DAW to use and affords quality output. The 64 bit version offers more stability to what would be a crash prone software.

out of 5Acid Pro was great for prototyping tracks and getting quick compositions out. It had a comprehensive set of decent included effects ACID Pro instruments but was ultimately let down by instability.
Acid Pro has always had a great workflow and reasonable included effects and instruments. It pioneered loop manipulation and coined the term acidisation for including tempo information with loops so that they can be easily manipulated and included in tracks of different tempos.
The constant crashing and program hangs that occur on an all too frequent basis. Even after expecting a hang and constantly saving, the time lost and more importantly losing the flow while trying to be creative were the app killer for me.

Loop-based production remains at the heart of ACID Pro ACID was my first DAW encounter and I fondly remember the immediacy of stacking a bunch of loops in the same tempo and key together in ACID, ACID Pro. I&#;m reminded of it anytime I hear about the Ableton Push, Maschine Jam, and any product designed around triggering sync&#;d up loops. It&#;s a fun and accessible means to conjuring super-hits, ACID Pro. The only limit to it is what you don&#;t know yet.
ACID is fondly remembered by many for being among the first DAWs to let you edit audio pitch and tempo. Speaking of which, ACID Pro, ACID Pro 11 ships with 9GB of ACID-ized loops and 11 Suite tops out at 15 GB of the stuff. So there&#;s plenty of sample and loop ACID Pro from the get-go at your disposal. Of course, you can also import your own audio to come up with beats and tunes.
ACID is Pro in all major ways, but its interface remains intuitive and accessible. The Bandicam Free Download process is quick, especially if you have the right loops. To that, a built-in store lets you buy new sounds and loops on a whim.
New effects and instruments
The aforementioned Chopper, which can be triggered via MIDI, cuts up audio files and ACID loops into individual slices. You can play them from your MIDI controller which is a fast way of beatmaking. MAGIX also teamed up with Brainworx to borrow some new plug-ins for this release. Depending on the software version, the available studio effects include bx_oberhausen, bx_masterdesk, bx_console N, bx_console Focusrite SC, ACID Pro, bx_crispy tuner, and bx_refinement. That&#;s a solid all-around package.
The new Morph Pads make for an interesting addition, ACID Pro. Not unlike Ableton&#;s simplest sampler, you can assign audio tracks, instruments, or audio buses to a pad. Then you can morph between the sounds via different modulations of FX targets. There&#;s mangling to be made!
The software bundle is complete with Elements and Essential versions of iZotope Ozone 9 and Celemony Melodyne 5, along with ACID Pro effects such as VariVerb II or the Analogue Modeling Suite Plus. You can find a detailed overview on the developer&#;s website.
